Get to know Judi Dowling, Director of National Accounts at Rockfarm St. Louis, as she shares her journey in the logistics industry.
Before starting her journey at Rockfarm St. Louis, Judi worked at CPI Corporation in St Louis, MO for many years. She started as a secretary in the Carpet Cleaning Division and ended her career as the Logistics Coordinator over Transportation.
She learned a lot about the industry from those years at CPI. Her responsibilities included small package, LTL, truckload and international shipping. CPI Corp was a photographic company. When digital photography took over, CPI went bankrupt in 2013. Both she and her husband, Dan, lost their jobs, so Judi became a full time server.
Following this loss, fer husband, Dan, got a job at The Delivery Network, where Brad Reinhardt and Al Hursey, now Rockfarm St. Louis Presidents, had an office. Judi says it was pure luck that Al and Brad were looking for an addition to their team and happened to mention it to Dan.
Judi went on to tell us that, “The opportunity was exactly what I was looking for because I wanted to get back into the industry. The rest is history. I will be here three years in August, and I love what I do.”
“I have three sons, and I would like grand kids but that’s a whole other story. Anyway, I like to jog, hike and bake. I enjoy movies and concerts. I also have a very energetic pug named Tara that keeps me on my toes.” Judi said.
