Get to know Debbie Becherer, Vice President of Operations at Rockfarm St. Louis, as she shares her professional journey in the logistics industry.
Debbie started working in transportation when she was a 17 year old high school co-op student. She worked for Highway Carriers/Ace Lines as a clerk typing up trip leases. She worked there for 13 years working her way up to office manager. After taking time off to tend to family and children, she went to work for George Transfer as a dispatcher in their flatbed division.
As her children reached school age, she took a job as a teacher’s aid in the school district that they attended. As her children grew older, she took a job at the warehouse company known as The Delivery Network. There she worked as a customer service representative, building loads, doing inventory and billing.
While working there she met a promising young salesman for The Delivery Network named Brad Reinhardt and his partner Al Hursey. Brad and Al owned a small freight brokerage company together. Brad and Al hired Debbie to work for their freight brokerage then known as Reinhardt & Hursey. Later to become agents known as Gilitner St Louis, now evolved to be known as Rockfarm St Louis.
After eight years with Brad and Al, Debbie is now the Vice President of Operations. Debbie works from home somewhere between St Augustine and Daytona with her faithful companion: Paris the French Bulldog.
This year she saw two separate Right Whales in the Atlantic Ocean with their calves. She is anxiously awaiting the hatching of this years batch of sea turtles.
Debbie good luck to you I wish you all best!!
